About Us

Takaro is an independent Australian games developer. Currently, we are fully focused on developing games for the Microsoft XBox Live Indie Games platform. We have a particular interest in making fun casual games with an Australian theme, or that play on Australian stereotypes and misconceptions.

Takaro was founded in 2005 by husband and wife team Adam and Diana Rutkowski. Adam holds a Masters degree in Computer Science and is responsible for most of the software development at Takaro. Diana holds a Bachelor of Business degree and is responsible for Takaro's accounting and administration, as well as assisting in design and development. Both Adam and Diana have previously worked at Crytek GmbH, makers of Crysis and Far Cry, as a game programmer and a project manager, respectively.

The company is based in Australia, in the sunny beach town of Lennox Head, near popular tourist destination Byron Bay.
